After our first loss of the season, Byington went to a new starting lineup and I thought it was brilliant. Jason Edwards has been really good so far this season but today, Chris Manon got the nod over him to begin the game.
1) Pretty bold move to “bench” your leading scorer.
2) Edwards had 23, you have to love that kid.
3) I love getting Manon on the floor early for defense, rebounding and slashing. He’s a really good player and if this gets him going and gives us another look, I love it.
4) I’d love to hear the reasoning, but I kinda doubt it’s a punishment for Edwards, probably more of a reward for Manon for his great effort on the defensive end. That said, whatever Byington’s reason, he was able to get 34 out of those two today.
5) Bringing Edwards and Tanner off the bench is almost unfair. If Edwards is ok with it, I freaking love it and would vote for the starting lineup to remain for a while.
Thoughts?
@Joey Dwyer @Chris Lee @Billy Derrick @Brandon Bigsby
Any insight as to why, or just Byington being a mad scientist?
