and it always bugged the crap out me, was that CKS teams never seemed to compete for the loose ball rebound in no-man's land. That is clearly NOT the case with CDM-coached teams. A couple of times tonight I was exited to see multiple players not only make an actual attempt to retrieve a ball at the free throw line that they were as close to as some kid on the other team, but they actually hit the floor and battled for those balls.
I grew up watching Big East hoops in the '80s and '90s, and that was the norm. Glad to see it back at Memorial.
