...on other Vanderbilt targets of interest
- Evans picked up an offer from Penn State after working out for the coaching staff where he apparently clocked a 4.3 in the 40. He told our Penn State site that he has no intentions of making a college decision this summer and is wanting to return to Penn State sometime this fall. Evans took an official visit to Vanderbilt the weekend of June 18th and has also taken officials to Baylor and Rutgers this month as well.
- Durojaiye released a Top 5 on Sunday that included Vanderbilt, South Carolina, West Virginia, Georgia Tech, and Kentucky. He took an official visit with the Commodores the weekend of June 18th. He is coming off an official to South Carolina this past weekend and Georgia Tech also got one earlier this month. The three-star also took an official to Arkansas to kick off June, but didn't include them in his top group. He recently told us that he's planning to officially visit either Kentucky or West Virginia next month and make his decision before his senior season.

- Claiborne is coming off an official visit with West Virginia and has a planned commitment date of July 19th. He has also visited Virginia, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, and Vanderbilt throughout June. The Commodores received their first running back commitment over the weekend in Maurice Edwards and will likely add at least one more to this year's class. However, I do foresee Claiborne staying on the east coast.
- Vanderbilt was Holtzclaw's first official in the month of June. He also took an official visit to Washington to wrap up the month with unofficial trips to Boston College, Oregon State, Boise State, Arizona State, and Colorado as well. A decision could possibly come soon here as the three-star prospect got his eyes on all the schools that were in his Top 6, plus Arizona State. The Boston College angle is interesting, as Holtzclaw is originally from the Boston area and Washington seems to have a bit of momentum coming off the weekend visit.
- Sannieniola was a guy I was pretty confident would pull the trigger to the Commodores after talking to him coming off his first official visit. I'm still pretty confident with that early FutureCast pick, however, the three-star prospect went through with his officials to West Virginia and Purdue to round out the month. Those are the three programs squarely in the mix. Now, he plans to sit down with his family and see if a summer or fall decision will be in store.
- Groves committed to Ole Miss on Sunday, which doesn't come as a huge surprise. The former Michigan commit gave Vanderbilt a look at the Commodore Cookout on June 1st.
- At one time Craig had an official scheduled to Vanderbilt for the weekend of June 18th, but canceled. He committed to Notre Dame on Sunday.
