More on Vanderbilt's new offensive line coach courtesy of Richie Schnyderite, publisher of TheKnightReport.com on the Rivals Network:
Overall thoughts:
"This ones a little tough because he was only at Rutgers for a year. However you could tell from that one year that he was a very knowledgeable, old school type of coach. By that I mean he was very passionate about his job, and very attention to detail oriented. As for the old school factor, he’s a coach who isn’t afraid to yell. Most of the time during practice he was easily the loudest coach out there. He wants to instill more a mean steak into his guys, but didn’t have a whole lot of time to do so at Rutgers."
Did you see any improvements with the O-line during this past season?
"I’d say yes, especially when they switched over to a spread when the OC was fired late September. Nothing major but definite improvements."
