What are your keys to the game?
1. If Beck is going to play Johnson, he must throw the ball. The most telegraphed part of the Vandy game with Johnson on the field is it’s a run. The same way Vandy scored on play 1 against LsU, play the overcommitting defense. Hit them over the top and let’s Johnson have a punchers chance to pop a big run by softening the box.
2. Sell out to stop the run. Ditch the 2 high against Niko suckassleava and make him beat you. So far his accuracy is more reminiscent to Milton than Hooker. If you allow UT to establish the run, it will get worse than the cocks game.
3. Take the points in the first half. Let the Brocket Launcher do his job. No over aggressive calls in the first half if you are in FG range. I’m fine with a no man’s land 49-40 yard line aggressive call but if it’s inside the 40, kick the FG. (If it’s windy inside the 35)
