LAWRENCEVILLE — Mountain View junior Jonathan Stewart looks like a football player.
He’s 6-foot-8 and weighs 288 pounds and towers over every other student at the high school. He looks like a natural left tackle.
Yet this past fall was his first ever on the gridiron. Despite attempts from the coaching staff at Mill Creek — where he attended as a freshman — and the Mountain View coaches a year earlier, Stewart didn’t have plans to play sports in high school until he saw his younger brother — Thomas, now a 6-foot-2 freshman athlete who saw time on Mountain View varsity this season — playing football as an eighth-grader.
