But maybe going overboard hog-wild crazy with the salutes and uniforms and all is a distraction and one more distraction is the straw that breaks the camels back and our football team plays crappy.
If taking a knee during the pledge of allegiance is the distraction that caused our women's hoops team to play terrible last night, is it not possible that going obsessive-compulsive in the other direction is too much hoopla for our football team to keep it's focus? Maybe it's possible. I do like our veterans and first responders... but too much hoopla about them doesn't make our defense tackle better.
