Katie Hines, who VU just hired away from SMU, will be taking over concession stands for Vanderbilt Athletics. Katie has a wealth of experience in Hospitality and Concessions as she's worked with Aramark Sports & Entertainment. She ran the concession stands for the San Antonio Spurs & the Rodeo at the AT&T Center before moving up to Dallas to take over concessions for SMU Athletics. She will have a General Manager that will report to her and she will have a group of full-time employees. She stated that there will be a fine balance between healthy options and stadium food. They are working on mobile ordering for everyone and in-seat service for premium seating- the Bridge, etc. There will be food trucks with local flavor and local flavor at concession stands in the stadium. She and her staff are working on menu changes depending on the time of game (brunch-like for 11:00 kicks vs dinner-like menu for night games & a lunch menu for afternoon games). They are working on concession prices being more affordable and discounted food & drinks for season ticket members. Some non-profits will be manning some concession stands in the stadium, but she loudly stated that it will be ones that want to be there & are excited to be there. Make sure to fill out surveys after games for in-game experience including concessions. Stadium will be stocked out with food and beverages and we won't run out, including beer & wine. Yes they had wine at SMU and are looking to add that here. There will be more kiosks/portable concession stands to cut down on wait times. Robynn Candish said ushers will be in gray shirts moving forward and she has emphasized with them that everyone, regardless of team, needs to feel comfortable within our athletic venues and that the ushers will provide great hospitality and guest service for all fans. There will be upgrades to the stadium this summer-concessions, but idk what else. Facilities plan will be released mid-March. Football locker room will be completed before team reports for camp this summer
