Commodore legend Jordan Matthews recorded no receptions in his preseason finale. Matthews was on the roster bubble throughout the 2019 preseason, however he was cut from the 49ers. Expect the veteran receiver to land on his feet with another team, as he looks to recapture the magic from his first stint in Philly.

Casey Hayward recorded no stats for the Los Angeles Chargers, however the veteran defensive back is one of the top in the leagues at his position and 2019 looks to be no different. Keep an eye on Hayward as he vies for a Pro Bowl and All-Pro selection.

Former second round pick Zach Cunningham recorded no stats in Houston’s preseason finale versus the Los Angeles Rams. Cunningham will continue to be a starter for the Texans in 2019.

Trent Sherfield caught only one pass in the Arizona Cardinals preseason finale. The reception went for negative yardage. On the bright side, Sherfield made the Cardinals 53 man roster and looks to build on his rookie season.

Former Commodore defensive back Tre Herndon saw limited action in Jacksonville’s preseason finale versus the Atlanta Falcons. Herndon will be back with the Jaguars for the 2019 season as he made the final 53 man roster.

Record holding Commodore quarterback Kyle Shurmur took most of the snaps at quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs. The son of New York Giants head coach Pat Shurmur completed fourteen of twenty passes for 143 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Shurmur was left off the Chiefs final 53 man roster, however he was added to the team’s practice squad.

Khari Blasingame accounted for the Minnesota Vikings second most rushing attempts with seven for nineteen yards. The undrafted rookie also added three receptions for five yards. The former Commodore power back was unsuccessful in his bid to make the Vikings final 53, however he was signed to their practice squad.

Oren Burks will make the Green Bay Packers 53 man roster but is dealing with a chest injury. According to the Packers practice report, Burks has not practiced or played in about a month. If he can stay healthy, Burks looks to be a contributor at linebacker for the Packers.

Will Holden was cut by the Seattle Seahawks. Holden could be a candidate for the team’s practice squad or could be claimed on waivers by another team.

Wesley Johnson was cut by the San Fransisco 49ers. As with Holden, Johnson could be a candidate to latch on with another team or the 49ers practice squad.

Kenny Ladler was cut by the New York Giants. Ladler recorded no stats during the 2019 preseason.

Dare Odeyingbo saw significant action in the final game of the preseason. The former Commodore standout recorded three tackles. However this was not enough to earn him a spot on the Cincinnati Bengals 53 man roster as he was cut this past weekend. Look for Dare to latch on with another team as a possible practice squad player.

Spencer Pulley will make the New York Giants final 53 man roster. Pulley will be a reserve center for the rebuilding Giants franchise.

Justin Skule made the San Fransisco 49ers final 53 man roster. Skule will look to play his way into the offensive line rotation.

Emmanuel Smith was cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but was picked up by the Kansas City Chiefs where he will join former Commodore teammate Kyle Shurmur on the practice squad.

Josh Smith was cut by the Tennessee Titans.

Stephen Weatherly had a quiet preseason for the Minnesota Vikings but is back on the Vikings 53 man roster for the 2019 season. Weatherly has been a strong contributor as he enters his fourth season in the NFL, all having been spent with the Vikings.

Undrafted rookie Ladarius Wiley recorded three tackles for the Tennessee Titans during the preseason finale at historic Soldier Field. Wiley was cut by the Titans over the weekend as part of their 53 man roster crunch. Keep an eye on Wiley as he is almost certainly a candidate to sign with another team as a member of their practice squad.

New England Patriots defensive cornerstones Adam Butler and JoeJuan Williams saw their preseasons come to an end Thursday versus the New York Giants. Butler recorded no stats, however Williams did. The second round rookie recorded a tackle and a pass break up. Keep an eye on both of these guys as Butler is looking to win his second Super Bowl Ring and Williams is looking for his first.

Jonathan Wynn was cut by the Detroit Lions.
