The pessimist in me still believes this injury hurts the trajectory of the program beyond just one year. Missing the NCAAT and being an average SEC at best this year will give other coaches a lot of ammo to negatively recruit against VU when it comes to the highly rated players. I realize a lot of recruiting is about relationships and CBD and company are good at making relationships but they need tonstary showing progress on the court. If they miss on Keon and Walker this program is in a world of trouble because outside of Nesmith the players theyve recruited that will still be on the team (Simi and DG will be gone) are not much better than CKS talent in his latter years. I just fear the DG injury set back the program beyond results of this season.
