Yesterday was a sports nightmare for me. My Patriots just had to show up, play some more awful football, and they would have secured the number one pick. Instead, Mr. Valedictorian Vol Jerod Mayo decides to put in Joe Milton instead of Jacoby Brissett. And Milton played his ass off and led the Pats to a win. An absolutely meaningless win all because Mayo wanted to do a solid for an alum of his old school and give the Krafts the middle finger before he left town.
I don’t blame Milton one bit as he’s fighting for his NFL life. But Mayo? That dipshit Tennessee Volunteer coach on his way out the door just set the Patriots back another 5 years. Given how much I hate that school, this was an absolute nightmare and still has me angry.
The one silver lining, I’m sure there are some angry Vawls fans whining about how accurate and mobile Milton was yesterday and complaining about how he couldn’t do that in SEC play last year. I hope Jerod Mayo eats some bad takeout and has to live on the toilet for a week. Screw it, make it two weeks!
All jokes aside, congrats to the Titans. Ownership has treated your fan base like dogshit with the PSLs and now you have something to be genuinely excited about. I hope the team is smart and trades back to get a bunch of different assets.
