I don't know why but I have a perverse interest in watching this Arkansas versus Kentucky game. I had some mild affinity for the Hogs as a child and I've never cared for UK.
The crowd is so angry at Calipari that I tend to want to see him beat them just because of how funny it would be to see them fume.
The UK fans are laughing at how he's 1-6 in the SEC. Arkansas is 12-8 overall. Apparently they were wanting to get rid of him last year, and he was sought by Arkansas and UK were glad to not have to pay his buyout. Three players went with him.
So the crowd is wildly booing at Calipari (I used to call him "Calimari") and the three players. Calipari looks tired even though he's not as old as he is starting to look.
I know we did not like his past recruiting tactics and think of him as scummy or something, but he did do well in Kentucky and he kept Memphis basketball at a high level while he was there. The NIL era probably levels the field for what he used to be good at.
