I confirmed that Coach Shoop (DC at Vandy 2011-2013) is back as a senior analyst. That job title is as ambiguous as "entrepreneur" or "influencer," so I do not know exactly what his job description is. I imagine it is on the defensive side of the ball. Coach Shoop was the DC there when I was at Vandy and was one of Franklin's infinity stones (Thanos? Idk I quit watching a while back, and Captain Marvel ruined any chances that jump back in). He is a good coach and is aggressive. The first memory that comes to mind is his playcalling during the 2012 Vandy/Missouri game. He dialed up an inside linebacker blitz during the week and told the defense that it was going to work. We ran it 2 or 3 times during the game and got sacks both times. We need more creativity on our defensive pass rush/dline twist games/blitzes, and I think he can elevate our game plan. Good hire.
