What an absolutely gutsy win by the Dores today. The character of this team was impressive to say the least down 3-0 and staring at what felt like a 2-0 deficit in the series. We lose that game and this fragile fanbase absolutely flips their shit.
I’ll admit that I was thinking that if this team isn’t capable of winning a game at Auburn, I didn’t think we had much of a shot at making the postseason for an astounding 19th consecutive time.
I liked that Corbin had a quick hook on McElvain and I LOVED that Corbin had a lightning quick hook for Chris Maldonado. Maldonado has been awful this season (maybe he needs glasses) and can barely make contact and while I loved that Corbin put him in the lineup today, after his strikeout, he was pulled in favor of Mac Rose and I thought that was huge.
People that don’t believe Corbin is capable of changing are really really off base and today was just another example of that.
Huge season saving win, now let’s go get the rubber match and steal the series tomorrow.
