Here is a breakdown of Vanderbilt's top in-state targets currently in the 2019 class:

OFFENSE:
Trey Knox, WR, Blackman
- Ohio State seems to be the leader for the four-star prospect right now. He took his latest visit to Columbus earlier this month for a two-day visit and includes Tennessee, Clemson, Arkansas, Florida, and Notre Dame as other teams recruiting him the hardest right now. In other words, it will be an uphill climb for Vandy.

Devin Boddie, WR, Whitehaven
- The Memphis product has been to Vanderbilt at least twice this spring and really loves the coaching staff, environment, and the fact that Vandy is close to home for him. Currently, I would consider the Commodores the early favorite.

Eric Gray, RB, Lausanne
- The three-star prospect visited Vanderbilt last season during the Alabama game. However, it seems that Arkansas is trending for the Memphis area product. He recently listed Tennessee, Stanford, and Michigan as other schools that are sticking out.

DEFENSE:
Joseph Anderson, DE, Siegel
- The four-star prospect has been a frequent visitor to Vanderbilt in the past, however, Anderson has a long list of suitors and it looks like a race between Notre Dame and South Carolina right now. LSU, Arkansas, and Ohio State are also in the mix. Anderson is planning a mid-summer commitment.

Tymon Mitchell, DT, FRA
- Vanderbilt is currently in great shape with the four-star prospect and is probably the most wanted prospect in the 2019 class when you're talking overall need. Mitchell has been to Vanderbilt many times, including three trips this spring with his most recent being the Spring Showcase. His father is also a Vanderbilt alum, so those ties should help the Commodores. Stanford, Georgia, and Tennessee could be other heavy players here.

Jackson Hannah, OLB, MBA
- Back when I talked to Hannah in January, he talked about releasing a Top 5 sometime this spring. He said Vanderbilt would definitely be in it. Would think Duke will be a factor with Hannah as well. Not sure which schools will make up the rest of his top five.

Adonis Otey, CB, Blackman
- Otey has been a longtime target for the Commodores, but he's also turned into a national recruit, adding offers from Ohio State and Michigan this spring. Expect the four-star prospect to cut his list down a top six sometime this spring.

Woodi Washington, CB, Oakland
- Another in-state prospect that Vanderbilt had on campus last year at their Friday Night Lights camp, then, Washington blew up this past fall hauling in offers from all over the country. Notre Dame seems to be a school in hot pursuit, but he also possesses offers from Alabama, Florida State, Florida, LSU, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and others.
