Is Arkansas a better job than Vanderbilt? Yes, but....
They have better facilities, are a state school, and don't have our academic restrictions. Better fan and administration support.
On the flip side, they are in the SEC west. You have Alabama, LSU, Auburn, and Texas A&M that will almost always be way better than you. That's pretty much four guaranteed losses every year, which means that you had better be almost perfect in the other eight games. That's hard to do.
Vanderbilt can pay good money, and the east only has two unbeatable teams in Georgia and Florida, instead of the four in the west. I think Vanderbilt can get a good coach, perhaps one of these on this list. But, ADMT has to get rid of the dead weight first.
