After trying to navigate Nashville rush hour traffic yesterday, my only thought was “How can people who have to do this every day possibly stand it without committing suicide?” I suppose they don’t do that because it would just make traffic worse for all those still alive because of all the gawkers trying to see what happened: “I wonder what happened, honey?” “I don’t know, but it doesn’t look good. There’s a lot of red on that window and I don’t think it says ‘Newlyweds!”
At one point my GPS (it’s a shame one has to GPS their own house) re-routed me off the interstate I was on to another interstate and then onto a parkway and then off the parkway and on to side streets and then back onto the parkway and then on to yet another interstate. I saved 9 minutes. It used to be a total drive of 13 minutes but that has now expanded to 45 to 60 minutes at pretty much any time of day, but much worse on weekends for some odd reason. I guess everybody works on weekends now.
It may be time to move further out of town so I can afford it.
I prefer a country-like setting but close to town, lots of wildlife lurking or grazing about, an unpolluted creek nearby, possibly a pond where geese reside, minimal traffic, a place where people don’t keep running over my mailbox, and the ability to piss in my backyard if urgently needed. And no teenagers who make a lot of noise after 10 pm.
I’ll need a good real estate agent with a keen eye for “that little gem nobody knows about but I do and is your DREAM home” who can assist me for a modest fee.
