The Vanderbilt basketball program has three commitments in the 2017 Class. There is still one scholarship available, and Bryce Drew will only use it if the right person who plays either a three or a four comes along. With recent developments, don't expect any recruiting fire any time soon.

6-foot-9 prospect Chase Johnson out of West Virginia, committed to Florida earlier today. He never put Vanderbilt on his list of visits, but the Commodores did issue him an offer. Mark Tikhonenko, who we recently did an article on, also committed to Arkansas State today. We found out over the weekend that he probably would not have had the academics for the rigor at Vanderbilt.

As of now, we aren't aware of any other 2017 prospects on the Vanderbilt prospect board.
