Interesting field rushing fine trivia

From the attached article:
- VU will be fined $100k
- The fine will go to the Alabama - basically we paid Bama for the natural consequence of beating them.
- Every Bama road loss since 2010 has come with a field rushing fine for the home team. 8 times, the most in the league.
- Kentucky, no surprise, leads in opponent court rushing fines - 7 times.
- This is the sixth time VU has paid a fine, the most in the conference. $730k worth
- The fine amount is $250k for a second offense, then $500k for the third and any subsequent offenses.
- The first monetary fine rule was put in place in 2004, and had increasing amounts. In 2015 and 2023 rules were redone and the fine amounts reset.
- The Alabama AD thinks the fine should be replaced with forfeit of the game just won. Like that will ever happen.
- Alabama, Georgia, and MissSt are the only schools never to have paid fines. VU and UK have paid 6, Arkansas, LSU and USC 5 each.

Football Clark Lea/job security

To answer a question posed earlier in the week: I wanted to get some solid info before I answered it and think I got some today. From what I was told (and source has been extremely reliable through the years), Clark Lea is not in danger of losing his job. They know they need to get their NIL situation in order (currently it doesn't seem to be, I guess that could change tomorrow, that's life with NIL these days) and they feel like they've hit on something that's paid immediate dividends with Jerry Kill and what he's brought.

Anyway, carry on.

Is he an incarnation of KOKOPELLI

Okay, grant me a little slack here. I'm not a particularly religious man; I'm not really superstitious either. However, I have spent some time in New Mexico; and I grew more and more curious about the sometimes shared mythology of the Navajos, Pueblo, Zuni, Hopi, and possibly Aztec people of the southwestern US.

Out west I first discovered the stories of KOKOPELLI (the trickster, the water bearer, the flute player, the bearer of fertility and good harvests). Kokopelli is not depicted as a all powerful deity; he is usually seen as rather small and at times with a limp. He however toots his own horn (or flute) to announce his arrival. He spreads music, celebration, prosperity, and fertility (the young women in some cultures feared him). However, as mentioned above he can be a TRICKSTER. Being somewhat unpredictable, he can fool the established know-it-alls.

There are many petroglyph depictions of Kokopelli. Some native cultures have indicated reincarnations of the lovable deity. Ask yourself is that really possible?

I don't know about you guys, but I see more than just a little spirit of KOKOPELLI in our own New Mexico TRICKSTER Diego Pavia. Could it be that "The Pissah" is in fact "The Water Bearer" ???

A path

All of a sudden a path to a bowl game appears out of the darkness! We are a couple plays away from being 5-0 and definitely top 10. That team beat Bama up from the opening kickoff to the final horn. I’m so very proud of those boys tonight they were talking cash money shit to Bama all night and backed it up. The offensive line pushed Bama around it was awesome to see and Diego is magical outside the pocket. This could be a program changing W. What a day, congratulations to everyone. I knew someone we played was going to be more gettable than we thought but I didn’t think it would be them. Got to love this game!
