VU _ NIL _ Anchor Impact Fund _ Vandy United

help me out here. it is my understanding that contributions can be made to the general anchor impact fund, or can be specifically designated to a particular sport, or even player should one choose to do so.
if a contribution is made to the general anchor impact fund, who decides how those dollars are divvied out ?
is each head coach now pursuing donations for their particular sport ? is adcsl pursuing those same dollars in the name of Vandy United ?
does southern pipe now get phone calls from CCL, CMB, CTC, as well as ADCSL begging for a piece of the pie ?
can the university simply carve out some amount from their massive endowment to help fund any of this ?
can someone a bit more knowledgeable please walk a simpleton through this whole process ?

Virginia Tech Football: 4 layup wins & 3 potential losses on the Hokies 2024 schedule

Virginia Tech Football: 4 layup wins & 3 potential losses on the Hokies 2024 schedule

Hokies trying to call us a "layup" win. Let's call that overconfidence. While we didn't show much fight last year, I think we have a real shot at this game. Otherwise I will be ticked off at what I just paid for my roundtrip flight.

"The Hokies will travel to Nashville to open the season against Vanderbilt out of the SEC. Normally an SEC opponent would be trouble, however, the Commodores are not exactly an SEC powerhouse like Georgia and Alabama. They are still in major rebuild mode under head coach Clark Lea and 2024 looks like they could be for another tough campaign.

Let's face it, if Virginia Tech wants to get where some are hoping they can, this has to be a win and unless something unforeseen happens, it will be. It will be a good road test for a veteran team on both sides of the ball against a team in Vanderbilt that will start transfer quarterback Diego Pavia from New Mexico State. No doubt Pry will have his team locked in for this battle."

Historically bad year for Vandy athletics.

What do we make of this?

For those who cannot view instagram posts:
2023-2024 Vanderbilt athletics (football, baseball, basketball) combined for the 2nd worst year record-wise, out of 20,995 D1 college athletic seasons since WW2. No exaggeration. Only 1980 Georgia Tech was worse.

The worst athletics performance in 40 years out of any D1 school.

My question is: If this isn’t something you fire your AD over, what is?

Shoutout to the NCC

If you’re a NCC member you probably got an email today about a BMW auto-cross event. They have partnered with BMW to allow NCC members to drive BMW models on an auto-cross track at Nissan stadium this weekend. You also receive tips and advice from professional drivers.

Yeah I know it’s a marketing event for BMW but this is a cool thing that the NCC is doing with BMW.

I signed up for Sunday at 1:00 pm.

Fair enough article. What struck me was Eli's strength on the recruiting trail this year. They just landed 2 4-star receives and a 4-star lineman.

"The Tigers currently have the nation’s No. 13 class and the SEC’s seventh-ranked group, per 247Sports’ composite rankings. MU’s previous best class was in 2022, when it was No. 15 in the country — a record that could soon topple."

And, yes, Clark Lea IS on this list.

Picks vu last, but they like some of our transfers.

“There are reasons to believe this group could exceed expectations, its coach included, but the Commodores haven’t made an NCAA Tournament since 2017, and they remain firmly in believe-it-when-we-see-it status.”

#1. Billy Napier- Florida (Aka Sunbelt Billy)

Surely you didn't think Clark Lea would be on this list. Your school has to care about on the field results for the coach to be on the hot seat.
