Just finished watching the game, and for specifics I'll just reply to other posts talking about individual things. My main thought was just how much the vibe of this game reminded me of a non-con basketball game we always have a few of where we play like Winthrop or someone who we're more talented than but they're competent and have a couple decent dudes. In a lot of those type of games we're up by like 20 for about two thirds of the game and then we kind of just muck it up for a third of the game and win by like 12 or something, when we could have won by more but it's not really a huge deal necessarily.

I have issues with the lack of adjustments by the DC in the 2’d half but honestly I felt like our guys kinda had their legs come out from under them.

After the score to make it 35-10 it seemed like the tank hit E.

New Vandy offer is on campus today for the home opener versus Elon. Commodores were his first power five offer. Foster also has offers from Marshall, Army, Navy, and others. Plays wide receiver and safety for his high school team, but Vandy likes him on defense. May be someone to keep an eye on coming out of the weekend. we'll see

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt will take part in two exhibition contests as part of the Commodores’ fall baseball schedule announced Friday by head coach Tim Corbin.

Vandy will host Samford at Hawkins Field on Sunday, Oct. 23, before facing Arizona State in a neutral-site matchup on Sunday, Oct. 30, at Morse Stadium on the campus of the College of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas. Game times will be announced at a later date.

Vanderbilt begins its “Road to Omaha” Oct. 18 when the Commodores officially open fall training.

Full-squad training sessions will take place during the week and will be open to the public.

Entry to Hawkins Field will be via the visitor bullpen gate located off of Jess Neely Drive. The gate will be open each day at approximately 4 p.m. This is subject to change at the discretion of baseball staff and University personnel.

Updated scrimmage times will be posted as they become available on the program’s Twitter account @VandyBoys.

The team will conclude the fall with the annual Black and Gold Game tentatively scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 13.

The Dores return to action after posting a 39-26 record in 2022, highlighted by the program’s 16th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.
