Candice’s financial extravaganza

Candice operates in a world of consultants paid for with someone else’s money. She doesn’t have the ability to lead…doesn’t have a natural enterprising “feel” for the role…even with her professional “CEO Coach” that’s right she has a CEO Coach. She thinks she is a CEO and therefore got VU to hire her a CEO Coach. As if her salary isn’t bloated enough, once you add in the consultants, CEO Coach, DEI pursuits, assistant AD’s because she can’t do various components of her job etc. We are talking big $ folks. Throw in Stack’s salary, staff and buyout and we are talking REALLY BIG $.

It really is madness people. Madness. March Madness. Something Stack will never achieve.

He seriously hasn’t been fired yet?

Lmao…..what a clown show. Stackhouse is horrendous and wouldn’t even be able to get hired at Belmont.

The DEI hire CSL aka Kamala Harris is totally incompetent. I doubt schools serious about winning would even hire her as a ticket sales rep.

I’m beyond tired of how little this university cares about athletics.

Elite academics in an elite city and in the SEC…..we should be fielding very competitive teams in all sports. Zero excuses. Zero.

South end zone

Anyone looked at the cam lately and notice that the new suite tower seems to be in the middle of the view for the right side of the west stands?

It appears the suite tower hovers right over the end zone area. Therefore, any seats on the right side of the west stands will not see the action in the south end zone corner on the right side.

NM

I posted something of general and local basketball interest, but would rather contribute to how we play in the SEC Tournament and to our WBB‘s chances of making the NCAA Tournament. I have nothing to add to the CJS debate and don’t want to fuel that directly or indirectly.

Women’s Basketball - IA St beats #1 Seed OK by 17 today

VUs best win keeps getting better. IA St had moved up to #35 NET before this game so should see another I’m guessing 2-4 spot jump after this win on a neutral court.

Now the big prize for IA ST is next. A B12 championship game vs Texas. And while OK was the 1 seed TX is considered the much better team as they are battling for a 1 overall seed in the tourney and are currently the #3 NET ranked team while OK was #25.

Basketball Theory

Stack wants to leave. He knows he cant win here. The signs of him wanting out have been there for a while. (Odd comments, little effort, no prioritization on winning).

Stack has all the leverage. He and his agent know this. I presume he has a top shelf agent. The same guy who took us to the cleaners last year.

The school doesn't want to part ways with 25M until they have to. They want to see all the data points including the SEC tourney in Nashville.

The leverage will get highest for Stack a week or so after the SEC tourney.

Nothing is happening today or next week.

Stack quits some time after the season.

Basketball Feel bad for the players…

IF they bring Stack back, attendance will be at an all time low. (I would be interested how much people think season ticket sales will drop off.)

Memorial magic was a huge home court advantage and a ton of fun for the players and coaches. It not only helped us win but was a big positive from a recruiting standpoint.

Baseball A parent's view

I'm not a parent of one of the basketball players, but I feel like one. It has been my joy and honor to sit with the players' families for a number of years. This year has been particularly hard for "us." I can count on my fingers the number of opportunities we have had to celebrate a victory. Yesterday was one of those times, and for it to be on Senior Day made it extra special.
After the "magical" ending, we celebrated with hugs, fist bumps, and high fives. Not a single "damnit." For a glorious moment we didn't worry about coaches or playing time or substitution patterns or timeouts. No, we got to see "our" sons revel in a victory, and we were very, very happy.
