NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Eight Vanderbilt sport programs recorded a 1,000 score in the most recent NCAA Academic Progress Rates (APR) report released Tuesday, with all Commodore teams finishing well above national standards.

Vandy teams posting a perfect score — based on marks from the 2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21 academic years — include bowling, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s golf, lacrosse, women’s tennis, and women’s track and field. In addition, the Dores’ baseball, soccer and men’s tennis programs earned a 1,000 eligibility/graduation score in this year’s report.

All Vanderbilt sport programs received a mark of 970 or better, well above the 930 baseline established for historical penalties. The NCAA’s release does not include public recognition of high-achieving teams, as that element of the Division I Academic Performance Program has been suspended through spring 2023.

The APR is an annual scorecard of academic achievement calculated for all Division I sports teams. The APR measures eligibility, graduation and retention each semester or academic term and provides a clear picture of the ongoing academic performance for each team in every sport.
