I keep hearing this but I’m wondering why this is?

We sweated the Arkansas series and are all thrilled we went 2-1 instead of 1-2 or 0-3 because it had huge NCAA seeding implications.

But now we can relax?

It seems to me that it’s SEC competition and it matters a lot vis-a-vis our NCAA seeding.

So what’s different now?

The main reason I can think of is that the SECT is not a level playing field. Meaning, teams are there with different motivations and teams will play up/down depending on that.

The other reason that comes to mind is it has unusual demands on pitching staffs. Pitching strengths/weaknesses that show in the SECT don’t necessarily translate to the NCAA

Anything else?
