**'Dores in the Pros (NFL) Weekly Update**

Former Commodore Zach Cunningham got the start for the Houston Texans this week, but was pulled as the Texans had nothing to play for in week 17. Cunningham did record three assisted tackles, to finish his season with 99 total tackles and two sacks. The former second round pick, will look to carry his career year into the playoffs.

Second year pro Tre Herndon recorded one solo tackle in the season finale for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Herndon ends his second professional season with 42 tackles and three interceptions.

New England Patriots defensive players Adam Butler and JoeJuan Williams both saw action in the New England Patriots 27-24 defeat to the Miami Dolphins. Butler recorded one solo tackle and rookie, Williams recorded two (one solo, one assisted) tackles. Butler ends the 2019 regular season with seventeen tackles and six sacks. Williams ends his regular season with four tackles. The Commodore duo will look to help the Patriots defend their Super Bowl title in the playoffs.

Veteran defensive back Casey Hayward recorded no stats in the Los Angeles Chargers season finale. Hayward concludes the 2019 campaign with 28 tackles and two interceptions.

Stephen Weatherly recorded seven (three solo, four assisted) tackles and a sack in a 21-19 defeat to division rival Chicago. Weatherly finishes the regular season with fifteen tackles, two sacks, and one forced fumble. The former Commodore standout will now turn his focus on helping the Minnesota Vikings make a run to the Super Bowl.

Undrafted rookie fullback Khari Blasingame once again got the start for the Tennessee Titans in their week 17 playoff clinching victory over the Houston Texans. Blasingame recorded one catch for 17 yards on one target. The undrafted rookie’s regular season concludes with him recording a total of four catches for 54 yards. Blasingame will look to be a force as the Tennessee Titans look to make a run to the Super Bowl.

Former Vanderbilt Commodore safety Kenny Ladler played in his first and only game in the 2019 campaign. In the Washington Redskins season finale versus the Dallas Cowboys, Ladler recorded four solo tackles. Ladler will hope to stick around with the Redskins or some other NFL franchise in 2020.

Oren Burks recorded no stats in the Green Bay Packers Sunday afternoon victory over the Detroit Lions. The former Commodore finishes the regular season with seven tackles. Burks will now look to help the Packers make a run at a Super Bowl title.

Rookie offensive lineman Justin Skule saw action in Sunday night’s 26-21 victory over the Seattle Seahawks. The fifth round pick has seen action in fifteen of the sixteen games played, and started eight. Skule will now get his first taste of the NFL playoffs.

Second year pro Trent Sherfield was not targeted and did not record any stats in the Arizona Cardinals 31-24 defeat to the Los Angeles Rams. The second year pro ends his 2019 campaign with four catches for 80 yards.

Reserve center Spencer Pulley saw action in a 34-17 defeat for his New York Giants on Sunday afternoon. Pulley saw action in four games of the 2019 season, starting one.

Commodore legend Jordan Matthews was inactive for the San Fransisco 49ers 26-21 victory on Sunday night over the Los Angeles Rams. Matthews only played in three games with the 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles, recording four catches for 33 yards. He will be an interesting story to follow during the 2020 offseason.
