I have enormous respect for Brian and his staff. What they have accomplished this year is worthy of Coach of the Year, and really it shouldn't even be close (with ALL due respect to Corbin and his staff). The odds of a team that has to bring in their left fielder in relief in Game 1 making it to Omaha is absurd. No way this team should beat Florida two out of three.
We may think tonight is a lock for Vandy, but we should be very careful and remember this is a team that has not lost two games in a row in this tournament, and has won a ton of late-inning games. They won't go away, not even to the last out. Brian said he won't throw Waddell today, but I wonder if that will hold true. I won't be surprised to see Sborz as their second pitcher tonight and let him go as long as he can.
