I'm watching the NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships while waiting for the Vandy baseball game to start. I see outstanding performances from many schools comparable to us, e.g., Stanford, Virginia, Duke, including some Olympic athletes.
What will it take for us to join them? It seems like "the degree, the city, the SEC" would be an effective pitch to these athletes. Why not Vanderbilt?
