Matthews threw up because he was hit in the stomach. Watch the replay.

It wasn't the hit, it was when his head snapped back when he hit the ground. I just don't believe they had enough time to check him out in one play. It ain't worth ruining somebody's career

It might be noted that nausea and vomiting from a concussion do not occur immediately. Those are somewhat delayed symptoms. But you go right ahead and keep on hating. Maybe that's another symptom of a concussion. Did you happen to hit your head when you fell off of the bar stool?

I don't know who was commenting on ESPN during the game but I never got the sense that Matthews had any kind of head injury at any time. After watching the replay several times, there is no way he got his "bell rung" hitting the ground and the initial hit wasn't to the head. He got the wind knocked out of him then barfed because he got so much fluids after cramping up early in the 3rd quarter. Who is going to put a kid back in the game after a head injury? I am always entertained with the armchair coaches that know more about what's going on in a game that the actual coaches on the field.
