I know it’s been a topic of concern for some of us throughout the season. Is there an individual who you believe has stepped in a leadership position, or is it more a case of “leadership by committee”?
My personal opinion is that Austin is beginning to take on that mantle as the season has gone along, particularly from a vocal and emotional standpoint. He gets fired up and, in turn, fires everyone else up.
From a steadying influence through his overall solid play, particularly in the field, I lean toward Vastine. He has been strong at short, often making challenging plays look routine. Having a senior who has stepped up in that regard is definitely a positive.
Anyway, those are just my opinions, and was curious who others saw as the guys stepping up to be leaders on the team.
