As many of you know, Vanderbilt signee, Simisola Shittu, injured his knee Thursday night. He came down awkwardly after a layup, and had to be helped off the court. He did not play anymore.
We spoke with a source with direct knowledge of the injury. He told us that Simi is back home in Toronto now. He has an MRI scheduled next Friday, but hopefully he can get it checked out sooner. We were also told that the doctor thinks there is a tear, but he doesn't know that for sure. The hope is that it is just an MCL sprain.
I have not seen the video of the injury myself, but I was told that it did not look good. We will have more news as we hear it.
