Love getting a commitment on my day off! Found some full game footage of Brown playing for his SABO Warhawks AAU team (interestingly, BTW, a "non-shoe-sponsored" team.)

Physically: Stands about 6'8" but with a > 7 foot wingspan. Siakam was 6'5 with a 7 foot wingspan, allowing him to play like a 6'8 dude. So this cat has a good bit more length than that, like a 6'10 ish dude. But like Siakam, having extra long arms lets you move like a smaller guy laterally and play like a bigger guy vertically. A double advantage. So Brown, while plenty tall, has very good "length" as well.

Athletically: DAAANG! He may be the "bounciest" player we've had, ever. He can get head level with the rim, but he does it so freaking easily and quickly. There are different kinds of jumpers, those who need to gather themselves, and those who don't. He...ummm...don't. He's able to explode up from a standstill in traffic and get way above the rim for dunks. Meyer calls him "extremely" athletic. Texashoops says his "entire game is above the rim." Laterally, he's just as good. And he runs like a deer. "Runs with the guards in full court drills."

Offense: Posts up a lot in HS. Learning the face up, perimeter game. Has a good looking jump shot. Not known as a three point shooter. Has a very good jump hook (supposedly with both hands.) He's a willing passer out of the post. And he slashes and cuts aggressively to the offensive glass on most shot attempts. But his calling card seems to be posting up to score, roaming the lane for lobs, screening and rolling for thunder dunks, and finishing off of offensive rebounds. Will clearly be a dunking machine for us.

Defense: A GREAT shot blocker. Huge reach, huge hops, and good timing. Laterally, he can cover huge ground in helping and switching off screens and recovering to his man. Can on ball defend at a high level. Is a very active player, alert and energetic at all times. Will be able to handle anyone he faces on that end of the court. Imagining him at PF alongside Baptiste at center, defensively???? Sheesh....

Overall: We got ourselves a stud PF in Brown who will provide plenty of highlight reel level excitement for us in good ole' Memorial.
