It seems to me that when we looked good this year it was mostly a result of our competition being worse than we anticipated rather than our team being much improved. Maybe I am overreacting but we looked horrendous tonight. I am pretty certain that Mason bought himself two more years with last week's win. So I think the question is do we have a chance with our current hiring process. I think our coaching search process is flawed. On paper, James Franklin was the least appealing of the serious candidates for the job when we hired him, but it worked out. I think Mason was the least appealing of the serious candidates this time around and he has bombed. I hope for Mason's replacement we aren't forced to go with some one who looks good on paper and see how it turns out.
