Brendon Harris (Safety, 6th Yr Senior from Chatanooga, TN). Former Tennessee commit before signing with VU. Mostly a backup safety at VU, with 6 starts in 36 games played. Grad transferred to Wake last season and is in his 6th year of college football. Posted 1 tackle in game vs VU last season. Posted 1 tackle vs Elon.
Chase Jones (LB, 5th Yr Senior from Jersey City, NJ). Recruited by Mason but ended up at WF. Reserve LB for his first 3 years before starting all 13 games last season when he had 74 tackles, 6 TFL, 2 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 2 fumble recoveries, 1 INT. Now playing his 5th year of college football. Posted 4 tackles, 1 TFL and 1 PBU vs VU last season. Did not play Week 1 vs Elon.
Will Towns (RB, 3rd YR from Jackson, NJ). One of 2 RBs Mason's staff recruited from NJ in the 2021 class with the other being Patrick Smith. Towns has 12 career carries for 71 yards. Had 2 carries for 11 yards vs VU last season. Reserve RB that did not register any stats vs Elon.
Walker Merrill (WR, 3rd Yr from Brentwood, TN). Recruited by VU but signed with Tennessee. Totaled 13 catches for 168 yards and 3 TDs (including 1 vs VU) in 2 seasons for UT before transferring to WF. Did not record any stats vs Elon.
Matt Gulbin (OL, 3rd Yr from Wilton, CT). Recruited by Mason's staff but chose WF over Air Force, Pitt, Rutgers and VU. Reserve OL first 2 years. Listed as a potential starter at RG in an "OR" situation vs VU.
Demond Claiborne (RB, 2nd Yr from King William, VA). VU made his final 4 along with Virginia and West Virginia before he picked Wake. Rushed for 57 yards as a true freshman. Did not play vs VU last season. Listed 2nd on the depth chart this week. Ran for 70 yards and 1 TD on 13 carries vs Elon.
Wesley Grimes (WR, 2nd Yr from Raleigh, NC). Recruited by Lea's staff but ended with a final 3 of Wake, Duke and Louisville. Caught 4 passes for 33 yards with 1 TD as a true freshman. Listed as a potential starter vs VU. Caught 3 passes for 76 yards and 1 TD vs Elon.
Kerrington Lee (DE, 1st Yr from Palm Beach Gardens, FL). Recruited by Lea's staff but chose WF over a long list of teams. Listed as 2nd Team at one of the DE slots. Had 1 tackle and 1 QB hurry vs Elon.
