VU vs Wafford baseball; VU wins 6-0; same teams tomorrow at 5

Vanderbilt leads 3-0, middle of the 6th. Wright went 5 innings, allowing 5 hits, 3 walks, while striking out 5. Pfeifer came on in the 6th, striking out the side around a double.

Vanderbilt got 2 runs in the first, and 1 in the 5th on a bomb by Delay.

Two VU players have been picked off first during the game.

Interesting side note: Going back to last game of the UT series, Vanderbilt pitchers had stranded runners for 12 straight innings, before leaving no one on base in the 4th, I believe.

Kevin Ingram and Andrew Harris compliment one another very well as the play-by-play and color guy, respectively.

Jason Delay delivers a run-scoring single in the 6th for his 2nd rbi on the night.

Swanson with an rbi triple in the 7th, and then scores on a wild pitch.

Extremely encouraging outing in relief by Ferguson; 2 innings, 1 walk, 1 hit, 4 strikeouts.

VU pitchers had 14 strikeouts on the night.
