Fulmer gives up a lead-off walk, then gets a strike out, a runner caught stealing on a great play by Ellison, followed by another strike out. Heading to the bottom of the first. Strike zone is looking pretty small to start the night. Vanderbilt goes in order in the first; Coleman flied out to the wall in left, Wiseman called out on strikes on a 3-2 pitch, and Swanson flies out to center.

In the top of the 2nd, a lead-off single to left, followed by a strike out, then an excellent double play going 1-6-3 to end the top of the 2nd. Bottom of the 2nd; Wiel laces a double to right center; Reynolds walks; Toffey with a great sac bunt, putting runners at 2nd and 3rd, and then Kendall walks, loading the bases. Campbell singles to left, scoring Wiel, giving VU the early 1-0 lead. Ellison grounds into the inning-ending double play, so 1-0 VU after 2.

Fulmer gets the first two batters easily in the third, but then a seeing eye single to left, followed by a high-hop double over 3rd, putting runners at 2nd and 3rd. However, a ground out to first ends the threat. Coleman flies out just short of the track in left-center (needs to try to keep the ball down and use his speed); Wiseman and Swanson single; Wiel hits into a fielder's choice, putting runners at the corners and two outs; Reynolds flies out to end the inning. VU missing out on early opportunities, as is Florida.

Both teams waste triples in the 4th.

I am having to give sporadic reports at this time. No change in scoring after 5
