Havent done one of these for a few weeks as I have been getting settled over here in the UK. But here are the guys on the Ole Miss roster that VU and Ole Miss battled for in recruiting over the past few years.
Khari Coleman (Linebacker, 4th Yr Senior from New Orleans, LA). Originally committed to Kansas, took a visit to VU the weekend before signing day, but signed with TCU. Started 9 games as a freshman at TCU while being named a Freshman All-American and Big12 Co-Defensive Freshman of the Year. Put up 33 tackles, 15 TFL and 3 sacks. Battled injury as a sophomore and only started 4 games (19 tackles, 2.5 TFL, 1.5 sacks and 2 QB hurries. Transferred to Ole Miss before the 2022 season where he played in 11 games with 2 starts (42 tackles, 10 TFL, 4.5 sacks and 1 forced fumble). In 7 games this season, he has 29 tackles, 3.5 TFL, 2.5 sacks and 1 forced fumble.
Hudson Wolfe (TE, 3rd Year RS-Soph from Hardin County in Savannah, TN). Originally committed to Tennessee, flipped to Ole Miss the week of signing day. VU recruited him but was never a factor. Played in 4 games as a freshman without recording any stats. Did not play as a sophomore. Has played in 1 game this season where he had 1 catch for 18 yards.
Micah Pettus (OL, 3rd Year RS-Soph from Harvest, AL). Redshirted freshman year. Played all 13 games in 2nd year, with 9 starts (8 at RT and 1 at Center). Has started all 7 games at RT this season.
Trey Washington (Safety, 3rd Year Junior from Trussville, AL). Played in all 13 games as a true freshman with 23 tackles, 0.5 TFL and 1 PBU. Played all 13 games (2starts) as a sophomore with 31 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 INT, 1 forced fumble and 4 PBU. Has started all 7 games this season with 46 tackles, 2 TFL, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery and 1 PBU.
Quinshon Judkins (RB, 2nd Year Soph from Pike Road, AL). VU recruited him but final cut came down to Ole Miss and Notre Dame. Named 1st Team All-SEC as a true freshman with 274 rushes for 1,567 yards + 16 TDs and 15 catches for 132 yards + 1 TD. Ran for 60 yards and 2 TDs vs VU last season. In 7 games this season, has 129 rushes for 567 yards and 7 TDs with 12 catches for 102 yards and 1 TD.
Taylor Groves (Safety, 2nd Year RS-Freshman from Cross Plains, TN - East Robertson). Played in 1 game as a freshman with no stats. Has not played this season.
Tyler Banks (Linebacker, 2nd Year Soph from Crewe, VA). VU made final 5 along with Cal, Michigan and Virginia Tech but he picked Ole Miss. Played in all 13 games on special teams as a true freshman where he had 4 tackles. In 7 games this season, he has 7 tackles, 1 TFL and 1 fumble recovery.
Jayvontay Conner (TE, 1st Year from Kernersville, NC). VU recruited early but committed to UCF before flipping to Ole Miss. Has played in 2 games this season with no stats recorded.
Brycen Sanders (OL, 1st Year from Baylor School in Chattanooga, TN). VU recruited but final list consisted of Ole Miss, Oklahoma and Tennessee. Has seen action in 2 games this season.
