Both teams squandering opportunities early on. VU currently has runners on the corners with 1 out in the 4th. VU finally pushes a run across on a fielder's choice.

VU gets a two-out walk in the 5th, but nothing doing beyond that. Wiseman having a tough day at the plate, with 3 strikeouts in 3 at bats.

Georgia takes the lead. Sheffield walks the bases loaded, and then almost gives up a grand slam. Instead, it hits off the wall and two runs score. A third runner attempts to score, but is called out at home, even though Ellison dropped the ball. However, the umpire was evidently blocked, and called the runner out, and no other umpires evidently saw it either, so VU got a huge break to end the inning.
