This is the game thread.
Arizona State is a 1.5-point favorite after its 77-49 loss to BYU last night. That number is reflective of what Arizona State's main issue seems to be, I don't know that it has the offensive firepower to get to where it wants to go. Also only scored 56 points against Mississippi State. Arizona State is shooting it 36.1% from the field and 24.4% from 3-point range, bad stuff there. BYU and MSST kicked their butts on the glass, too.
Frankie Collins is a nice piece at the one, ASU has a few other highly regarded transfers like Kamari Lands (Louisville) and Jose Perez (West Virginia, kinda.) Jamia Neal is their best homegrown guy.
Think Vanderbilt has a better roster but the way ASU stays in and wins this game is through the turnover battle, Bobby Hurley's team forces 17.25 turnovers per game and has won every turnover battle this season. Expect more pressure tonight and perhaps some turnover issues from Vanderbilt again. Arizona State has also defended the line well throughout the early part of the season with the exception of last night.
For Vanderbilt, all eyes turn to its injury situation (again!), Ezra Manjon was a game-time decision last night. We'll see what his status is today. We'll see if they have everyone else.
