In his words, if Connor Jones can't put the W on the board, UVA will be in a real tight spot with 'winning' pitching availability. Sounds like they are not able to rely on Kirby after his start this weekend and therefore they are going to have to pitch some guys on shorter rest. That said, we need to go ahead and get this win. I'm not superstitious and don't believe you can really draw any connections on last year's inversion of underdog vs favorite, but it is no secret Vanderbilt's pitching quality AND health is better than UVA at this time. Hopefully this nets out in Vanderbilt's favor.
