Now this is truly a Monday morning rant. I'm also contradicting myself on the fact I think it's appropriate that we picked a QB horse and we are sticking with it.
Right now in college football the spread is the great equalizer. Trent Sherfield ran it with great success in high school. Can you imagine a scenario where he's running that read option that Malzahn runs where he could; (I) give it to Webb, (II) keep around the end, or (III) swing pass to Darius Simms? Suddenly you have three weapons touching the ball every play.
The flipside is that our offense is actually putting up numbers. I probably wouldn't be saying any of the above if we took advantage of opportunities and/or didn't have such untimely mistakes.
