Just from these clips, you can see how he has the full compliment of basketball skills, unlike our current three big men. They may all three have an edge athletically (although maybe not in terms of "functional athleticism"), but not in terms of basketball skills. Yanni goes left and right, shoots the three well (40%), finishes strong through contact, posts up, faces up, spins, fades away, takes it coast to coast off of a steal, and has good hands. It would help this team so much to have a more complete threat out there at the five playing alongside Jeff at the four. I bet he'd be averaging 25 minutes a game this year.
Yanni also looks ready to be a very useful complimentary piece when we add so many creative playmakers next season. He'll know what to do with the ball whenever it finds him. Looks like a guy who could plug in at either the four or five spot.
