Just a few random thoughts -
1.) I love Buehler in this spot. He never looks rattled, and even if he doesn't have his best stuff, I expect his composure in the situation to give us 5 innings plus. Then, it becomes JJK's game until you hand it over to Wright in the 8th and 9th.
2.) Very interested to see our approach at the plate. After falling behind 3-0 last night, we started stringing a lot of quality ABs together though obviously we never broke through. Waddell has control issues at times with 47 walks in 103 innings. He also is allowing hitters to hit about .270 against him which is the highest number we've seen since the Regional. However, he is the kind of pitcher who gives us trouble - lefty with a ton of movement on the cut fastball which he will pound inside against our right handed hitters all night.
3.) Probably won't happen because a lineup change at this point may cause more damage to the psyche than it benefits, but I would consider moving Reynolds to the 2 hole tonight and sliding Rhett to 5. We are going to see primarily and maybe exclusively LHPs tonight and Brian has been great from the right side.
