I give the NCAA credit, the NIT the way it is done now at least has some credibility as far as who gets picked and why. And having a bracket at least makes it feel like there is a realistic path to a title.
That said, I think they need to seriously consider how they do the brackets. What difference is there, really, between a three seed and a seven seed? They should regionalize the tournament as much as possible, so that fans can at least have a chance to go see their team.
As much as I would not want to play Murray State, there is a billion times more interest in Vandy vs. Murray at Murray than St. Mary's.
