Saw Andrew Jelks in the press box this weekend. Asked him about his knee, said he was doing great and looking forward to coming back next year. He seemed really positive about VU's chances for next season.
Had a similar, and a little longer, conversation with DeAndre Woods, whom I happened to bump into on the way to Sunday's baseball game. He was moving around really well without crutches or anything, and said his knee was recovering well, and that it was a different ACL than the one he torn last time, but that he was excited for next year and felt like they'd do some things. Mentioned that Jared Pinckney had done really well and that he'll help them a lot next year.
Anyway, both are really pleasant kids and you could just tell in their tone of voice and body language that they're looking forward to being back and that they think they'll have something next year.
