While there are many things to point to as to why Stack has failed in his five year tenure at Vandy, I think perhaps the most appalling is his player evaluation. I won’t mention names out of respect for the players and their families, but some of these kids have no business playing at this level and that is NOT their fault. For a guy who (I think) knows basketball, his eye for evaluating if a player in HS or in an another league (transfer) can be successful is just dreadful. Thus out of 5 years of recruiting, he will not have one player who ends up on a NBA roster. (Yes I know he coached some kids who are in NBA but they were recruited by the former staff.)
The second biggest area of failure is Stack not being able to retain older players. QMB, Jordan W etc.
