Vanderbilt target and 3-star safety Ikenna Okeke:
"The visit was great. I really like coach Mattioli. It was my first time meeting him. Just from talking to him, he seems like a players coach, and he wants to be great. He wants to coach players that will do the same," said Okeke.
"Vanderbilt's coaches think I'd fit their defense great, and I believe that I'm a player that can adapt to different defenses."
On the play of former Rutherford County standout Emmanuel Smith:
"He made a couple of big plays, and I think that he is going to be an impact player this year."
Vanderbilt target and 3-star wide receiver Donaven Tennyson:
"The visit went good. What stood out to me was my position coach, and I see why people say Nashville is fun," said Tennyson.
"Coach Hankton is very straightforward. He knows what he is talking about from personal experience. He played wide receiver in the league for nine years."
Vanderbilt target and 3-star OT Devin Cochran:
"It was great. I enjoyed it alot. I really enjoyed the Nashville culture along with the game environment at their spring exhibition game," said Cochran.
The main thing that surprised me on the visit was their facilities. I had never been up there before, and I was surprised at how nice they were."
