Was able to chat with a couple of key Vanderbilt visitors over the weekend in Gainesville (Fla.) DE/TE Jordan Giberti and Graham (N.C.) quarterback Jamie Newman.
Both had a very positive experience regarding their visits over the weekend. Giberti is a former teammate of current Vandy running back Ralph Webb, so he talked a lot about that and that the coaching staff plans to visit him during the next live period and evaluate him at both DE and TE.
Newman really enjoyed his trip to Nashville, loved the campus, and the offensive system that Coach Ludwig has in mind. He mentioned it would be a really good fit for him. He intends to visit Boston College and Air Force next and then will make a college decision sometime in May. The three-star QB could be one to watch in regards to an early commitment.
