Georgia beat Tennessee in Knoxville to move the lady vols down to 9-9 in SEC play. If Vandy wins tonight against Mizzou (the worst team in the SEC) then they will be tied with Tennessee with an 8-8 record AND have the tiebreaker due to their victory against them in Nashville.
This means that in all likelihood Vandy will finish 8th in the SEC and secure a first round bye in the SEC tournament.
Vandy will also be one of only two unranked teams in the top 8 of the SEC along with Ole Miss. They will be above the 11th ranked Lady Vols.
