Notes:
1. Dayton, Liberty, and Clemson beating up on SEC teams
2. Missouri's wins over Oregon and Illinois are really the only good wins by the conference. They're easily the most experienced team in the league which will help them tremendously this year though that may fade as the season goes on. UT still good as well. UK will get one soon and win some games but they'll never be close to a top 25 type team. LSU is really good but next year might be really bad if they lose everyone. The only another team that sticks out is Florida, who was on pace to be really good, now who knows. A lot of the other teams are in similar boats with us in terms of beating bad teams and losing to some decent ones.
3. Speaking of Florida, what will they look like tomorrow? While I agree with Noah Locke, a Florida guard, that the break might have helped them some mentally in terms of getting over that shock, I don't think that an 18-day break is what was what the doctor ordered. Let's look at how teams in the SEC have fared after not playing for at least 10 days. Bama beat a decent Providence team by 17 and then lost to Clemson by 8 after their 10 day layoff, not too bad since Clemson is pretty good. LSU beat SHSU by 20 and then beat Nicholls by 6 after their 10 day layoff, not great. Mizzou had a 10 day break after beating Illinois and preceded to beat Bradley by 1, hmmmm.
4. So basically no team played well at all after a 10 day layoff, and for Florida you're adding 8 days to that and taking away their best player and playing on the road. They also happen to be a really top heavy team. With the spread being Florida by 6 I think we have a shot tomorrow if we play with the same but perhaps even tighter rotation and effort we brought against Alcorn State.
