I’ve said this a number of times during his career. I’ve begged and pleaded for him to get in the gym until his broken shot gets fixed. The guy has been an NBA caliber player since the second he stepped on campus...... as long as he develops a jump shot.
For a while, I thought it would never happen and he was happy to head into finance or some other field not named the NBA. At this point, I am seeing signs that he is breaking through. Saben always had a huge hitch in his motion that cost him consistency but at times he shows more fluidity than hitch, last night especially.
Bottom line is this, if Saben Lee develops a jump shot that requires defenses to respect his perimeter game, he is simply unstoppable.
Keep working, Saben. We are all happy for you and extremely proud of you.
